Blacks started standing up for themselves and let their voices be heard throughout politics, newspaper, and actions. And the women stood stronger than in ever and made their own changes in their communities. African Americans made significant strides toward their advancement in America and toward eqauity with whites.

THE SOUTH
In the South, African Americans weren't accepted equally. They were slaves, and treated as if they were animals. There were many ways blacks got beat like lynching, which was the most common. They had many jobs working under white people. It seemed like there wasn't a way out until jobs started to pop up in Northern States. Which then lead to what we call the Great Migration.
